About Me

Years ago I read a book by Sophie Kinsella called The Undomestic Goddess. This phrase stuck with me, mostly because I felt it described me. I’m not perfect, when I moved out of home I couldn’t cook, keep a house clean, do washing or ironing. I’m on a journey to learn to do all these things, and to learn to be a better person. I’d like to you join me.

Sometimes insightful, sometimes incoherent, these are the confessions of an undomestic goddess.

Hey Tamsin… I found your blog reading mamamia and making the rainbow cake (turned out brilliantly by the way)…

Reading your blog has introduced me to so many different ways of thinking…

I now own two dresses with stripes this summer.
    Use the nail hardener
    Changed my shampoo
    Made your pasta salad…

I love getting home on a Tuesday and Thursday to read your tips for the week… Keep up the great work..

PS You know my little sister Michelle which was kinda spooky when I saw something on her facebook and saw you… Hehe… Small world…

Thanks Nik! I am so glad to have helped! Keep an eye on this space, got some exciting things coming up.

It is certainly a small world :).

Which rainbow cake recipe did you use?

The original but we also thought it was dry. If I can convince the man, we’ll try making the new one next week.

        Look forward to it…

Hi there, I stumbled upon your blog searching for internet posts about the name Tamsin… I read your post complaining about your name and just wanted to say, I LOVE Tamsin! In fact, I love it so much that I’m naming my baby girl (due next month) Tamsin – still looking for a middle name, but top contenders are Tamsin Augusta or Tamsin Evangeline. We’re going to call her Tansy. :)

      Hi CJ,

It’s a distinctive name and it’s served me well, despite my dislike of it. My middle name is Claire and I’ve always thought Tamsin Claire sounds nice. Good luck with the next month of your pregnancy and I look forward to seeing a pic of Tansy when she arrives.
